Healthy Relationships

Healthy relationships are important for ones well-being. We were created with "relationships" in mind if you take into consideration the creation of Adam and Eve. As easy as it is to explain what a relationship is, why do we find it so hard to build "healthy" relationships? Simply put relationships are the way in which 2 or more people are connected. There are social, physical, emotional, professional and romantic relationships just to name a few. But when it comes to romantic relationships people find it most difficult to define.

In today's society being in a romantic relationship is almost considered to be foreign. Side chicks are glorified, a baby mama will always be a fall back option, and just because he/she is married does not mean they are off limits to some. Saying it out loud sounds harsh but we must live in our truths. Our generation has lost sight of what is morally right or completely wrong.  It is sad to say but situationships are the new relationship status quo. Such as merely dating or stay in an unhealthy situation just to say you have someone to claim. We have to make an honest effort to stop lowering our standards for the sake of pleasing our flesh. Just think about how differently some situations may have turned out it you had not settled.

Before entering into your next relationship ask your potential spouse the big question: what is the purpose of our relationship? Well that's if you really want to know... No pressure. 😉 Purpose sets standards and provide direction. I do not know about you but time is very valuable honey, and we do not have any to waste in 2018!  More importantly if a person cannot clearly define what their intentions are for your lives then what is the point in dating them?

I am no relationship guru but in knowing better I just intend to do better and hope you choose to do the same.

Love effortlessly! `
