Help Secures the BAG
The very foundation of a FAMILY starts with 1 man and 1 woman building together. But living in a generation where relationships are for the weak that concept is only perceived by a few. These ho's for everybody, we ballin' no budgets 😉 and living our best single lives... but are we really? Lets talk about WEALTH for a second. According to a report by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis "married" men are earning much more money, on average, than anyone else in America. Just look at some of the most prominent men in America: Warren Buffett, Barack Obama, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jay Z, they're all married.
Everybody wants to be rich, but who actually took the time out research what it takes to get there? Granted you can be hella successful on your own, but how many of you know that two is greater than one? For decades cross-sectional studies have been done on the correlation between wealth level and marital status. Studies show that married men make significantly more than their unmarried counterparts. In one study I read (yes, I do read lol) by Wilcox and Lerman, it showed that "married men between the ages of 28-30 make $15,900 more than their single counterparts and married men ages 44-46 make $18,800 more than single men their age." I know you're like well how can that be? Well there's a "wives effect" hypothesis that researchers have come up with that suggests having a wife has an effect on their husbands wages and labor. When a man marries his best friend he is much happier, his production and work efforts increase because he has to be a provider, the wife supports him emotionally through encouragement and gives advice, helps in decision making and taking care of the household. Men are freed up from household chores, that's one less distraction from securing the bag.
This is NOT to suggest that the only way a man increases his wealth is through marriage, this is merely a comparison of marriage and wages confirmed by decades of studies. There are several speculations why married men are wealthier. One is that wealthy men are more likely to marry. Another suggests that married men make more because employers discriminate against unmarried men. The human capital of a married man is worth more capital, because companies view them as being more valuable, dependable and productive. That 10-50% difference in the income that a married man makes as opposed to an unmarried man makes a big difference when it comes to tax brackets.
Regardless, married men learn valuable skills from their spouse. Happily married couples will tell you that their spouse enhances them, after all why else would you marry the person? Just remember there is wealth in marriaage... A little something to think about.
